Shocking moment armed cops draw GUNS on Chelsea star Tiemoue Bakayoko as he’s wrongly stopped and searched

BUNGLING cops drew guns on Chelsea star Tiemoue Bakayoko during a stop and search before realising they had the wrong man.

Dramatic footage shows the moment the midfielder was pulled over by armed police in Milan and frisked on the roadside while officers whipped out their weapons.

He had reached a roadblock in the Porta Garibaldi area when he was reportedly forced to exit his vehicle at gunpoint.

The 27-year-old Frenchman – who was shipped out on loan to Milan by the Blues last season – can be seen pressed up against a police car.

A male officer completes a thorough pat down of Bakayoko while two other cops keep their guns firmly pointed inside his vehicle.

But as the bemused footie ace endures the scrupulous search in front of a queue of motorists, another male officer twigs they have the wrong man.

He can be seen gingerly approaching his colleague in the clip while stashing his weapon back in his holster.

The officer conducting the search is visibly shocked when informed he is frisking the former Napoli player rather than the suspect they were searching for.

The bearded cop appears to apologetically place his hand on the midfielder’s back after realising his embarrassing error.

Bakayoko is understood to have been quickly released by the officers after the extraordinary mix-up.

Fans praised the ace on social media for keeping his cool with the cops as they rummaged through his pockets.

The star recently spoke out after he and his AC Milan teammate Franck Kessie were subject to racist abuse from Lazio fans.

He declared his pride in his skin colour while also calling on Milan to identify the culprits responsible.

In a statement on Instagram the Frenchman said: “To some Lazio fans and their racist cries towards to me and my brother Franck Kessie .

“We are strong and proud of our skin colour. I have all my confidence in our club to identify them.”

The post has been met by an outpour of support, including from his former team-mates and fellow professionals playing in Italy.

Reports suggest Bakayoko will leave Chelsea after five years at the club to sign with Marseille.

His £40million transfer soon turned sour as he failed to live up to his predecessor Nemanja Matic and was subsequently loaned back to Monaco a year later.

Every season since, the 27-year-old has been out on loan, with Chelsea unable to find a permanent buyer for him.
