LOVE Island bombshell Antigoni Buxton has revealed her shock after being asked to take part in the ITV2 show.
Despite only being in the villa for over a week, Antigoni managed to leave a lasting impression with viewers at home.
She left the villa with Charlie Radnedge after being dumped by her fellow Islanders in a brutal elimination.
Following the show’s finale, Antigoni has revealed how she managed to get into the villa this year.
Speaking to host Dr Richard – who runs a leading dental practice in the Harley Street area of London – the reality star opened on the first stages of her Love Island process.

She told the podcast host: “Honestly it was really random. I just got a DM on Instagram in like January saying ‘Hey, I work at ITV, would you be interested in going on Love Island?’
“I swear I sent screenshots to my family group chat and we were all like never in a million years would I go on Love Island.”
Antigoni continued: “Then I was like do you know what, why not, I’ve been single for just over a year at this point and it was like, it wouldn’t be a bad thing to meet somebody.”
Dr Richard’s client base also include Jamie Redknapp, Ashley James and Tom Daley, and double Grammy winner Dua Lipa.

Despite the show having an official application process, Danica was offered support with her submission.
The popular show star, who finally found her perfect man in the arms of footballer Jamie Allen, took to her Instagram to explain.
Alongside a sassy portrait image, Danica wrote: “So busy at the moment running around attending amazing events, photoshoots and appearances.”

In 2021, producers started to interview potential applicants in January for this year’s instalment.
MailOnline claims 100,000 applied through the channel’s official process, but only three of those were chosen.
The rest were approached by ITV staff, including the show’s first deaf contestant Tasha Ghouri.
