I’m a mum-of-three and compared loads of clothes from Zara and Shein – the results are shocking

WE all love a good Zara haul – but just like most retailers, this high-street favourite has also upped the prices.

But what if you could achieve the signature look without forking out a fortune? What if Shein offers the exact same clothes for just a fraction of the price tag?

Well, one fashionista set out to see – and the results were shocking.

The mum-of-three (@mummyfor3kids), believed to be from Germany, took to TikTok to compare her massive shopping haul from both Zara and the China-based fast fashion giant.

First up in the now-viral video was a rather casual look you can never go wrong with – a pair of light-wash denim bottoms, beige trainers and a basic black top she had paired with hoops and a gold pendant necklace.

Apart from a slightly lighter wash, Shein’s outfit appeared to be close identical to it’s high-street twin.

Next, the stylish mum changed into a chic outfit – a stunning black and white blazer, ankle booties, a sexy faux leather mini skirt and a black top to keep her warm.

Again, the only difference between the two retailers was that the gold buttons on Shein’s skirt went across the garment in a diagonal line.

Seeing just how good both versions looked, social media users were shocked, concluding there was no visible difference between both options.

Amongst the 3.1million viewers, many even preferred the cheaper alternative, with one writing: ”Why did the SHEIN skirt look way cuter.”

Another agreed, commenting: ”SHEIN of course.”

Someone else reckoned: ”the zara skirt is better but everything else shein win.”

However, if you’re thinking to head to Shein for a well-deserved shopping spree, best know that not everyone’s had a good experience with the retailer.

Recently, we saw one woman turn into a Christmas tree after buying what she thought was a cute khaki set, whilst another had her heels snap off during a night-out.

Now, amongst the list of fails, we also have Akira joining.

The 21-year-old beauty enthusiast, from North Carolina, took to TikTok after her shopping haul went horribly wrong.

Looking to replenish her wardrobe, Akira went on the company’s website, where she stumbled across a sexy pair of red knee-high heeled boots.

Priced at just £30, Akira didn’t think twice and bagged the footwear immediately, patiently waiting for the new item to be delivered.

But upon trying it on, the young woman was mortified, when she realised the heel shorter than expected.

The unfortunate design, which was advertised by the brand, meant that the pointy toes were slanted upwards and the boots were impossible to walk in.

”Shein, count your days,” Akira captioned the now-viral video, demonstrating how the footwear looked on.

”W*f am I supposed to do with these?

”I guess you really get what you pay for,” she said, describing the heels as red chilli peppers.

The clip, though an unfortunate experience for Akira, has left social media users in stitches, many of whom flocked to comments.

One chuckled saying this will become a high-end designer trend next year: ”Balenciaga in 2023.”

Another called these ”them chili peppa steppas” whilst a second’s nickname for the heels was ”the Elf on a Shelf 1s”.
