Drink-driver weaves dangerously all over busy A-road and nearly causes several crashes in shocking dashcam clip
- Gloucestershire Police posted a video to warn people of drink driving
- The swerving motorist in the video was disqualified from driving for 20 months
- They were also fined £274 and ordered to have alcohol dependency treatment
This shocking dash-cam footage shows a drink-driver wreaking havoc on a busy A-road nearly causing multiple crashes.
Gloucestershire Police released the video of the swerving motorist as a ‘stark reminder’ of the dangers of drink driving.
The intoxicated driver is shown moving from side to side, steering a bit too close to other cars and bollards in the 56-second clip uploaded to Twitter.
Throughout the video, the driver almost collides into several cars and a motorbike whilst swerving onto the opposite side of the roads and into road signs.
At one point, the car swerves so close to the edge of the road that its wheels seem to go over the curb.
The footage was filmed on the A417 in Gloucestershire, between the Air Balloon and Nettleton Bottom pubs in November this year.

It was said that they were travelling home from work but ended up driving in the opposite direction.
They failed to provide a specimen of breath and were disqualified from driving for 20 months after narrowly avoiding disaster.
They were also fined £274 and ordered to have alcohol dependency treatment for six months.
A tweet from police said: ‘Watch the shocking moment dashcam footage captures a driver under the influence of alcohol driving erratically on the A417. Luckily no one was seriously injured or killed but the footage is a stark reminder of the dangers of drink driving.
