Beauty fan warns others not to give themselves at-home chemical peels as she shares her shocking results

A BEAUTY fan has urged others not to give themselves an at-home chemical peel, after sharing a look at how it left her skin.

Andrea took to her TikTok page to document the progress of the trichloracetic acid (TCA) peel, which left her with chemical burns on her skin.

In one video, she shared a day-to-day rundown of how it had left her skin, explaining that the first day her “skin got very dark, spots came to the surface”.

On day two, her skin started to feel tight, and her face looked frozen.

The “peeling and crusting” began on day three, and by day five 70% of the peeling had taken place – with the pink new skin visible underneath.

On day six, Andrea wrote that her “chemical burns scabbed over, 90% of peeling complete”.
