My mom bought a $70 lace dress from a Facebook ad – it was such a fail, what came looked nothing like the picture

A DAUGHTER has revealed her mother’s online shopping blunder when purchasing a dress.

The frock, which was found on a Facebook ad, cost $70 and looked nothing like the pictures.

Ali McCarthy (@alicmccarthy) filmed the dress her mother anticipated on receiving versus what actually arrived in the mail in a video on TikTok.

“What I wanted versus what I got,” read the text.

First, she showed a photograph of a beige and white lace mini dress with puffy long sleeves.

In a video transition, she showed a photograph of the dress that was actually received.

The dress looked nothing like the previous photograph, appearing to have a much tighter fit.

“Bro, my mom bought it on a Facebook ad,” she said. “She thinks they’ll respond to her return, too.”

The video drew in many viewers who shared their two cents in the comment section.

Some said it’s an age old issue when purchasing clothing online without seeing it in person first.

“This will never get old,” one wrote.

Another viewer pointed out the hefty price of the unwanted frock.

“For 57 bucks too?” another wrote.

Ali replied: “$70 after shipping. Lol they said they would give her $27 back or store credit.”

“Yikes,” said a third.

The video came as part of a trend where people share what they thought they ordered online versus what actually arrived in the mail.
