JASON Donovan hasn’t aged a day since Neighbours as he stripped off to budgie smugglers on the beach in Australia.
The actor and singer, who shot to fame in 1986 when he played hunky Scott Robinson in Neighbours, before leaving in 1988 to start a music career, was all smiles as he took a dip in the sea at Bondi beach.
Jason, 55, was seen rocking a pair of swimming trunks and black nail polish for the sun-filled outing in Sydney.
The Especially For You singer put his bod on display as he splashed out in the water and then cooled off with an outdoor shower.
West End star Jason appeared to be in his element as he soaked up the glorious sunshine on the popular golden sandy beach.
Jason’s well-deserved break comes after he revealed he turned down a massive role on the Neighbours reboot.
Speaking to Scott Mills on BBC Radio 2 last August, Jason said he was offered the chance at recording the new theme tune.
He told: “They asked me about recording the Neighbours theme tune for this new version.”
As Scott got his hopes up and asked if he was doing it, Jason finished his setence.
He said: “…and I declined, because I felt the moment had happened – we did it.”
Scott replied: “They can’t change it now, can they?! It’s gotta be the same, but different.”
Donovan answered: “No, [but] I don’t even know what it is! Maybe a trance version?!”
When pushed if he’d still decline the offer, Jason admitted he would.
His career continued to take off after he left Neighbours in 1989.
Jason has sold over three million records, and his debut album Ten Good Reasons was one of the highest-selling albums that year.
He has also appeared in several stage musicals – and is best known for being the lead in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat in the early 1990s – a show he starred in again in 2019.
Jason enjoyed a successful stint on I’m a Celebrity in 2006 where he finished in third place, and Matt Willis won the show.
In 2011, he was partnered with Kristina Rihanoff on Strictly Come Dancing, and again he placed third.
Jason then took on the challenge of Dancing On Ice in 2021.
However, he had to pull out of the competition in week six due to a back injury.
