Travelers reveal the unusual items they always pack without fail – a handy item means needing fewer plug converters

TRAVELING to another country means getting out of your comfort zone, but that doesn’t mean you need to be without the comforts of home.

One Traveller, a mature solo travel company, asked adventurers for their best tips.

Adaptors can be helpful when using an outlet in another country since many of them are different.

But a guest told One Traveller it’s useless to take “multiple travel adaptors.”

Your best bet is to take a multi-plug extension cord.

They can be purchased via Amazon for $12.33, depending on which one you get.

“You can plug the multiplug extension into the adaptor and have five or six sockets for your devices,” the pro said.

“Some plug sockets in hotels aren’t located in the most convenient places but using an extension lead will make sure you have everything you need at your fingertips,” the person added.

Packing a night light can save you from getting a stubbed toe, too.

“It’s an absolute lifesaver when you’re stumbling around in the dark,” an expert told One Traveller.

Motion-sensored night lights can be purchased via Amazon for $9.99.

Bringing an elastic band is an ingenious hack that could save you from embarrassment if you have to use chopsticks while traveling.

If you’re afraid to ask for a fork, tying an elastic band to the end of the chopsticks will make using them easier, a jet setter told One Traveller.

No one wants wrinkly clothes, so the last trick could be a real game-changer for some.

If you pack a spray bottle, you can spritz the creases in your clothes, and then use a blow dryer to smooth them out, a pro told One Traveller.

Amazon sells plastic spray bottles for $7.72.
