FOOTBALL fans were left fuming over the “shocking” kit clash in the Newcastle vs Tottenham game which made the match “unwatchable”.
Hosts Newcastle lined up in their usual black and white strip.
Meanwhile, visiting Tottenham lined up in their grey third kit.
However, fans were not happy with the selection as the two kit colours jarred – particular on long distance angles.
Taking to social media, one fan said: “Shocking kit clash in Newcastle vs Spurs. Someone should be sacked for this.”
A second said: “Horrible kit clash.”
A third added: “This kit clash is terrible today we honestly would’ve been better off wearing the away…”
Another said: “Don’t know if I’m being dumb but this is a kit clash I think.”
A fifth said: “Weird kit clash.”
A sixth said: “Newcastle vs Spurs did nobody consider there’s a slight kit clash? Borderline unwatchable this.”

Tottenham’s third kit has been the topic of debate this season among fans with many unable to distinguish its true colour.
Manufacturer Nike have said the colour is officially Taupe Haze.
Spurs may have been left wishing they’d picked a different strip as they endured a horrible first half.
Goals from Alexander Isak and Anthony Gordon put the hosts 2-0 up before the break.
