A WOMAN has revealed that the green moss on her tarmac was driving her insane, but thankfully, she discovered a super simple solution to keep it at bay.
So if moss is ruining your patio or driveway, don’t worry, you’ve come to the right place.
Particularly with spring finally here and many of us preparing to get our gardens ready for summer, there’s nothing more annoying than enjoying a day in the sunshine, only to be faced with bright green moss.
But thankfully, a savvy woman has found a method that she has hailed as ‘genius’ for killing moss.
Sharing her tip on social media, the cleaning enthusiast asked: “Does anybody like me suffer with their lovely tarmac having green moss on it? Drives me insane.”
The woman then explained that you can use biological washing powder on tarmac to kill moss.
However, she shared the ‘brilliant idea’ that makes this trick much easier, as she continued: “I used to put it in a bottle and shake it out, but look at my new invention.”
We then saw the woman using a metal sieve to sprinkle out the washing powder, as she beamed: “What a genius idea! This is a dream come true – putting it in the bottle used to take me longer than sprinkling it.”
The cleaning enthusiast admitted that she was ‘so happy’ as a result of the ‘brilliant idea’.
She later explained that the washing powder ideally needs to be added to a dry surface, and it will take three to four days to kill moss.
She also explained that thanks to this trick, there’s no cleaning up involved – as the washing powder will eventually be washed away with the rain.

She advised cleaning fans to sprinkle over the washing powder and ‘leave it there’ as it will ‘wear off after time’.
The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @aravonmccann, has clearly left many very impressed, as it has quickly amassed a whopping 321,700 views.
Social media users were thankful for the advice and were keen to express this in the comments.
One person said: “Great, must try this.”

Another added: “Brilliant idea, I normally sprinkle with my hand but this is so much easier. Thank you.”
A third commented: “Brilliant, thanks for sharing this.”
When asked: “Does it work?”, the woman beamed: “Oh yes big time. Been doing it for years, just found an easier way to distribute it.”
At the same time, someone else wrote: “My neighbour does this and she has the cleanest yard I’ve ever seen, but she insists it has to be biological washing powder.
“The sieve idea is genius.”
Meanwhile, someone else chimed in: “I do this all the time, it smells great after the rain.”
