Employees share outrageous policies from their toxic workplaces- including a company that charges staff to wear their own shorts in a heatwave

From illegal surveillance activities to restricted toilet access some companies have taken it a step to far for these employees.

People from around the world have shared snaps from their toxic workplaces and Bored Panda collated the most shocking into an online gallery.

They include a company, in the US, who charged employees $3 to wear their own shorts to work in a heatwave.

Elsewhere, on employee appreciation week another company gave an employee, who had worked there for four years without a pay rise, a rock.

Meanwhile another worker decided to quit her job without giving the full two weeks notice, only to receive an invoice for $150 from her employer for an ’emergency staffing fee’.

A skilled US tradesman, who claimed he was supposed to get a $3,000 bonus at the end of the year for making the company $150,000 profit, received socks instead.

Here FEMAIL takes a look at some of the most toxic work environments from around the world…
