‘Maybe I shouldn’t go on the trip’: Sinitta QUITS Celebs Go Dating after failing to find love but says show made her ‘more clear’ about what she wants
Sinitta has decided to quit Celebs Go Dating after failing to find love on the show.
The singer, 59, was among the cast of series 12 alongside the likes of Laura Anderson, Pete Wicks and Gary Lucy.
But the hitmaker ruled out joining the cast on a new trip to Cyprus as she didn’t find a connection with anyone.
Bowing out: Sinitta has decided to quit Celebs Go Dating after failing to find love on the show
Speaking on Wednesday night’s episode, Sinitta said in the dating agency: ‘Maybe I shouldn’t go on the trip, if that’s OK? And continue my journey until I meet someone.’
Dating expert Anna Richardson replied: ‘That is a bold and brave decision but it comes from the right place because it comes from putting yourself first and for that we applaud you.’
Asked how the agency helped her, Sinitta said: ‘I think I was quite fearful, so I think I’ll be more open and I feel more clear about what I want.
‘I think I could fall in love with anyone, but I’ve learned you can love everyone but not fall in love with everyone.’

Paul Carrick Brunson insisted her time on the show was not in vain and said: ‘We will of course miss Sinitta on the trip, but this was not a failure.
‘She has listened and learned what is important to have in her future relationship.
‘I’m confident she’ll take that with her going forward.’

Sinitta hasn’t made her final appearance on the show yet as she will surprise the rest of cast in Cyprus by turning up to sing So Macho.
The cast’s raucous finale party comes after Sinitta last week hit out at Celebs Go Dating for their ‘disgraceful editing’ which stated she is ‘still in love’ with her on-off ex-boyfriend of 20 years Simon Cowell.
Sinitta met the music boss when she was just 14, and went on to become the first signing to his record label – and she has previously admitted that she loves him ‘with all her heart’.

Slammed: Sinitta was not best pleased last week as she claimed Celebs Go Dating producers said she was still in love with Simon Cowell
She took to Twitter to complain of her upset after watching the instalment of the E4 reality dating show last week.
‘Disgraceful editing!’, she wrote to her 132,000 followers. ‘To say I was still “in love” with @SimonCowell was a huge disservice to me and my endeavours.
‘Why did you do this? Love and “in Love” are very different @CelebsGoDating @awilliamsonTV @PaulCBrunson #iTrustedYou.’
Earlier this year, Sinitta exclusively spoke to MailOnline about her relationship with Simon Cowell over the years, admitting that she experienced heartache when he ‘broke their secret pact’ by dating her ‘best friend’ Lauren Silverman in 2013.
She believed the pair would be re-kindling their romance around the same time.

The singer famously dated the music mogul in the 80s when she was signed to his label, Fanfare Records, but has now confessed she ‘wanted to still be with him’ into the early 2010s and ‘genuinely thought they were working things out’.
Speaking exclusively to MailOnline at Metro’s 50 Years of Pride celebration, sponsored by Visit Malta, in London, she added that she’s accepted it was ‘unrequited love’ and is now keen on officiating their upcoming wedding in her capacity as an ordained minister.
She went on to claim she’d been close pals with Simon’s fiancée since her children Magdelena and Zac, both 17, ‘used to play’ with the socialite’s son Adam, now 16, from a previous marriage to Andrew Silverman.
The TV personality said of her hopes for a future with Simon: ‘It was about 10 years ago and yeah I was wanting to still be with him then, yes. So that was upsetting and… unrequited love but I’m not gonna kill myself over it.
‘It was kind of on and off, on and off, so there was kind of an unspoken understanding that was obviously a misunderstanding on my part but it’s ok.
‘I’m not the villain cos I genuinely thought we were working things out and that’s why it was upsetting but that’s life, right? Maybe I’ll meet someone at his wedding.’

The X Factor creator met Lauren when she was still married to millionaire property developer Andrew.
Their affair famously became public and Simon’s life changed at the end of July 2013 when news broke of Lauren’s pregnancy with their son Eric.
Back in 2009, Sinitta spoke to MailOnline again, revealing details about her past marriage to Andy Willner.
After separating for nearly two years at the time, she said she thought about Andy ‘a lot’.
‘Every day I remember more and more great things about my husband. As you heal, you think, “What did we break up about? Why did I leave you in the first place?”
‘I still love him. He still loves me. He wasn’t the wrong person – it’s just our lives are going in different directions now. I regret not being with him,’ she added, weeping.
She also went on to describe Simon as her ‘escape’ – and she his – as they relaxed on billionaire Sir Philip Green’s yacht alongside his wife Tina.
‘With Simon, I could sit on a boat for two weeks and just relax. We escape together. That’s probably what it is with us. I’m his escape, I would say, and he’s mine. On the boat, I was able to think, “Okay, when my babies comeback, we start a new life”.
‘I love him with all my heart,’ she says. ‘When we are together, he’s a very primary person in my life. But he wants to be a single guy.
‘He wants to see who he wants to see when he wants to see them. I’m a very monogamous woman. I need someone who will put me first the whole time.’
She added that her relationship with Simon was an ‘incredible, undefinable friendship’.
‘I like the familiarity, the security, and I really trust him. So many people would love us to get back together, and I can see why. I’ve even said to him, “Why don’t we?”
‘But I think our lives have become so complicated now. I have the children, and he has this crazy career.’
