With Lydia struggling to cope, Kim decided to tell her the truth and tell her that Craig didn’t die in agony.

“I’d taken Ice out for a hack,” she told Lydia.

“We’d been out for a while and we were both tired so I decided to take a shortcut. I saw Craig and I went towards him.

“He’d been beaten, but was still very much alive. He asked me to take him to hospital and I refused.

“I didn’t think he deserved anyone’s care after what he did to you. I refused to engage, but as I tried to ride around him, he lunged at me and Ice got scared.

“He reared up and that was it. He was struck on the head as Ice came back down again. It was his fault. He shouldn’t have tried to grab me like that.

“I got down to see if he was OK but there was nothing that could be done. It was just me.”

Lydia was horrified and asked Kim why she kept quiet even when Sam was arrested.

Kim told her: “I think what happened that day probably saved another woman’s life. Men like that don’t change.”

But Lydia was shocked and demanded to know if Kim was lying, accusing her of purposefully murdering Craig.

“Go, get out of my house now and don’t come back,” she said furiously, leaving fans in shock.

One wrote: “Why is Lydia so bothered about how and why her rapist died? Just be pleased he’s dead!”

A second said: “Poor Lydia is going to find a way to blame it on Kim.”

Another added: “Lydia turning on her only friend is not cool.”
