Keeley Hawes stuns in an off-the-shoulder gown as she supports her Succession star husband Matthew Macfadyen who scoops Best Supporting Actor at the Emmy Awards

Keeley Hawes showed her support for her husband Matthew Macfadyen as he scooped Best Supporting Actor at the 75th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards on Monday.

Matthew, 49, took home the gong for his portrayal at Tom Wambsgans in the comedy drama Succession.

Succession won big at the award ceremony at the Peacock Theater, taking home Best Actor, Best Actress and Best Drama Series.

Keely, 47, put on an elegant display as she posed arm-in-arm with Matthew on the red carpet.

The actress wowed in an black off-the-shoulder tulle polka dot gown with a nude underskirt.

She kept her accessories minimal as she simply opted for an understated silver bangle and looked as loved-up as ever with her husband.

Matthew cut a dapper figure in a black tuxedo as he posed up a storm for the cameras as his show Succession was up for 27 awards at the Emmys.

Matthew competed against the likes of his Succession co-stars Nicholas Braun, Alexander Skarsgård and Alan Ruck as well as The White Lotus’ Theo James and Will Sharpe for the Supporting Actor in a Drama Series gong.

In his acceptance speech, he gave a special shout out to his wife as well as his ‘onscreen wives’ Sarah and Nicholas Braun.

He said: ‘Acting with you has been one of the most wonderful things in my career. Thank you, Nick. Thank you, sir. It’s been a joy.

‘Thank you to my actual wife, Keeley, my love and my best friend for being here.

Matthew continued: ‘My love, thanks, and admiration to [creator] Jesse Armstrong as always. And to all our extraordinary writers, I’m too shared to named them all ’cause I’ll forget them all, and I won’t sleep.

‘To Adam McKay, to Francine Maisler, HBO, to all our wonderful directors and producers and, of course, our gorgeous crew and cast, who I miss very much. Thank you’.

Matthew is on a winning streak as he won his first ever Golden Globe for Succession for Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role on Television earlier this month

His latest win comes after he won his first ever Golden Globe for Succession as he won Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role on Television for his performance as the power hungry husband to Shiv Roy (Sarah Snook).

Like at the Golden Globes — which celebrated 2023’s top films and television shows on January 7 — Succession came out on top.

The on-screen siblings Sarah Snook and Kieran Culkin led the highly-popular series to a massive night as the 36-year-old Aussie actress and 41-year-old American actor were crowned in the Lead Actress and Actor in a Drama Series categories, respectively.

This all culminated with the highly-popular HBO series taking home top honour Best Drama Series.

The 75th Emmy Awards gathered Hollywood’s biggest stars as they celebrate the best of primetime television over the year of 2023.

The awards ceremony normally occurs in September but was delayed because writers and actors were on strike at the time last year.

Due to the industry strikes, the Emmys were postponed to 2024 on the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday in the United States and arrives in the heels of the Golden Globes.

The first Emmy Award was held back in 1949 to celebrate the artistic and technical merit for the television industry.
