A PLACE in the Sun fans have ripped into a ‘rude’ couple for a ‘stupid’ property hunt with ‘more twists than a Hitchcock movie’.

They wanted a holiday home located 15-20 minutes from the beach and 10-15 minutes from bars and restaurants.

They hoped to find a property that had three bedrooms, an open plan set up, shared pool and decent outdoor space.

Jasmine showed the couple five properties during the show, and received mixed responses.

At the end when they sat down to discuss it, the couple admitted it had been “more stressful than we thought it would be” to which Jasmine replied “For me as well!”

They then revealed they wanted to put an offer in on the last property they saw, which featured a communal pool and sea views.

It was on the market for £209,000 but Jasmine told them: “You know that there was previously an offer on it for around £192,000, bearing that in mind, where would you like to start your offer?”

The couple said there was an issue with one of the bathrooms which they would have to redo, so with that in mind, they wanted to make an offer of £180,000.

Jasmine was visibly shocked but put the call in to the estate agent, before she came back to them and said: “The previous offer that was put on the property for £192,000 was actually only a month ago, and she said she doesn’t feel comfortable even putting that offer in of £180,000 because she knows that the vendors want £200,000.”

However, the couple stood firm and went up to £185,000 and said “We’re here now, we’re ready to go at £185,000.”

A Place in the Sun viewers were just as shocked as Jasmine, with one writing on X: “Absolute p*** takers… I wouldn’t even sell it to them.”

Another added: “Are they deaf or stupid? Or rude? Its under budget idiots.”

Their second offer was also turned down, but the vendors countered with £205,000.

The couple then matched the previous offer at £192,000 as their final offer, which Jasmine submitted to the estate agent.

When the call came back, Jasmine was told the vendors needed more time to think it over, and in a final piece to camera, Jasmine revealed the estate agent called just before the couple were due to fly home and revealed the vendors had accepted the offer after all.

One viewer wrote online: “Ah f***, they got it. Im not happy.”

Another added: “More twists than a Hitchcock movie.”
