Now people smugglers offer exclusive speed boat trips that take just 45 minutes to reach the UK but demand £10,000 per person for the treacherous journey

Albanian people smugglers are now offering exclusive speedboat trips to the UK.

Using brand-new boats with 300 horsepower engines, traffickers boast the £10,000-a-head journey has a ‘100 per cent success’ rate.

Unlike overcrowded dinghies, often loaded with more than 70 people, only a maximum of ten passengers take each trip across the Channel.

And while those on other small boats are left to steer themselves, the deluxe service includes ‘experienced’ Albanian skippers who collect their customers from a site near Brussels and drop them off near Southend-on-Sea in Essex.

Migrants who can afford the extra price are put up in Belgian hotels and driven to the launch site.

‘You will not get wet in the speedboat,’ one of the smugglers boasted. ‘When you arrive, you will touch the land and no one will touch you.’

A Mail investigation found the smugglers advertise the costly trips on social media and also offer fake documents to illegal migrants for an additional £5,000. When an undercover reporter contacted one organiser, they were given a phone number to message and told: ‘We have trips this month. Get to Belgium, then call us so we can pick you up.’

‘We need to meet one of your relatives in the UK who will pay the money,’ the man added.

After arriving in Belgium, migrants are put up in one of the gang’s ‘trusted hotels’ while they wait for good weather.

Proud of his illicit service, the Belgium-based smuggler said: ‘It’s a big difference travelling on our speed boats compared the usual small boats. That’s why our price is £10,000.

‘The speed boat skippers are Albanians, with experience in doing this.’
