The horses are part of a mounted guard stationed outside the main entrance to Buckingham Palace.

But, this tourist was left red-faced after the equine decided to take a bite of her jacket.

The woman stands next to the soldier in a puffy black jacket with a green sweater on underneath it.

As she stands for her photo, the steed moves its head towards her and bites the jacket.

She’s left on the verge of tears and in a state of shock.

A passerby asks: “Is your coat all torn apart now?” to which she replies with a sheepish “Yes”.

The woman is left to clean off the horse’s saliva from her jacket with the help of a friend.

A sign hung on the wall next to the soldier says “BEWARE: Horses may kick or bite.

“Don’t touch the reins, Thank You.”

The King’s Guard are posted outside at Horse Guards Parade from 10am to 4pm each day.

Last year, a video was captured of another woman who had her ponytail bitten by a Blues and Royals Horse.

A similar clip was also caught of a horse biting at a woman’s jacket.
