One beauty influencer has unveiled her top skincare trick to prevent forehead lines.
Melly (@melaniesandford18) shared the anti-aging advice in a video with over 390,000 TikTok followers.
“When people ask me my biggest skincare secret to getting my forehead so smooth and my 11 lines so smooth and I tell them medical tape, they think I’m crazy,” she said.
“It’s seriously one of the top skincare secrets of mine.”
She explained that after she started applying medical tape to the center of her eyebrows overnight, her formerly pronounced 11 lines had vanished over five years.
“It has gotten so much better to the point where you cannot even see the lines where they are,” she said.
Melly explained that due to muscle memory, your skin holds onto the effect of the tape even when it’s off.
“When you make expressions when the tape is off, your skin is less likely to wrinkle up,” she said.
Most medical tapes worked, she added, except cloth types.

“Make sure it is the plastic tape and not the cloth tape,” she said.
“The cloth tape will make you look like you have a bunch of wrinkles the next day.”
The expert also recommended being diligent with a skincare step to prevent damaging the skin.
“It will stick on top of moisturizer or oil, if you want to avoid that adhesive mess in the morning, make sure your skin is dry to the touch before you put it on,” she said.
