Dakota Johnson Spoofs Architectural Digest Home Tours And ‘The Bear’ In New ‘SNL’ Promo: “I’m Gonna Say Whatever I Want”

Dakota Johnson is setting the tone for her upcoming hosting gig on Saturday Night Live this weekend – and it’s not looking so good.

In a new promo for the episode, Johnson takes us for an Architectural Digest-style tour behind the scenes at Studio 8H, where she ruthlessly rags on the comedy show.

“Hi, I’m Dakota,” she says as she greets the camera at the door. “Welcome to my home away from home, Studio 8H.”

Johnson does not hold back as she walks viewers through the history of the iconic studio.

“A lot of people don’t know this but 8H actually stands for 800, which is how much Lorne bought the studio for in 1812,” she says.

The Fifty Shades of Grey star continues her off-kilter tour behind the scenes, taking the viewer to the area where the cue cards are written. “This is where they write the cue cards which is so cute because I’m gonna say whatever I want,” she announces before tossing them.

In the makeup room later on, Johnson sports an unflattering wig as she explains, “Fun fact, all these wigs are made with chinchilla hair. It looks really great on camera, but f*** it stinks!”

The SNL promo ends just as quickly as it begins with a quick stop at Punkie Johnson’s dressing room, where the new SNL star is spoofing the high-stakes energy of The Bear to accommodate the actress’ demanding rider.

Johnson is set to host this coming Saturday with Justin Timberlake as a musical guest.
