WHEN thrifting, sometimes the best bargains are right under your nose.
One woman thought she went home with a decent deal on Adidas sneakers but was floored when she took a closer look.
Kenna (@virgo_.fairy) shared the thrift find in a video with over 12,000 TikTok followers.
She shared what she thought was a pair of pink Adidas sneakers, iconic three stripes and all.
“Me thrifting a new cute pair of Adidas!!” she said excitedly.
Written inside the shoe sole and shoe’s back, however, was the Gucci logo alongside the Adidas logo.
Turns out the sneakers were a Gucci and Adidas collab in the colorway Gazelle Pink.
The 2022 collab returned in the Spring/Summer 2023 season along with two new slip-on styles, the Adilette and Sideline, and the arrival of the re-imagined iconic ZX8000 runners.
After the June 2022 drop, the Gucci skyrocketed as the hottest brand following nine months of Balenciaga’s domination on the charts.
According to Lyst, high demand for the collab catapulted searches for the designer brand, which skyrocketed 286% in the 48 hours after its collection with Adidas was released in June.

Although they’re currently sold out on sites, the designer sneakers are going for upwards of $900 on resale platforms.
Kenna was speechless after realizing what she had found upon getting home.
“I literally was dumbfounded. Possibly my best thrift find of the year?” she said.
Her viewers were equally as shocked, stunned at her luck.
“These have been my dream shoes forever. I’m so jealous,” said one commenter.
“You bought Adidas and got Gucci instead? What a great deal!” said another.
“Why don’t these things happen to me?” groaned an envious commenter.
