Larry David explains how he deals with strangers pitching him ‘Curb’ ideas

If you spot Larry David in public, don’t go pitching him your Curb Your Enthusiasm ideas. Or asking him for a selfie.

During an appearance on Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend, the Curb creator explained how he gets out of unwanted pitches from strangers (“The Writers’ Guild forbids me from hearing pitches from other people,” is his go-to line) and how he attempts to dodge the dreaded selfie requests.

“You know what, I can’t take pictures outside,” is how David says he tries to evade it. “And then when I was inside, I would say to people, ‘You know what, I can’t take pictures inside.’ […] It started out OK, and then I sort of couldn’t get through it without laughing.”
