A FOOD fan has spotted some ‘insane’ food and drink bargains in Heron Foods.
So if you’re on a tight budget and fancy cutting down the cost of your food shop – you’ll be thrilled to know that you’ve come to the right place.
Posting on social media under the username ‘New Food Spotter UK’, a food fan showed off the impressive bargain buys in Heron Foods – with chocolate for as cheap as 39p, alcohol for just £1 and packs of fizzy drinks from 89p.
Heron Foods has hundreds of locations across the UK and prides itself on offering “big-name bargains for less”.
Heron Foods was a family business until it was bought by B&M Stores in 2017.
Since then the company has expanded rapidly and employs over 5000 people across 300 stores.

The majority of locations are in the North East and Midlands but the network is increasing, with some stores already in Cardiff and Luton.
Showing off the cut-price buys in the less-known bargain supermarket, the food fan penned: “This week’s Heron [Foods] finds are insane.”
In the short clip, the savvy shopper showed off the cheap as chips items in Heron Foods.
The bargain hunter initially spotted ten cans of sublime lime Diet Coke, for only £1.89.

Not only this, but the Heron Foods fan also found Mars bars, for just 39p each.
As well as this, for £1.50, you can bag six cans of Lipton lemon ice tea.
For chocolate lovers, you’ll be thrilled to know that large bars of Milkybar gold, which were once £1.25, are now just 79p in Heron Foods.
If you’re more of a savoury fan, you’ll be shocked to see a pack of two Heinz ‘beans burgerz’ for just 69p – and even better, two packs are only £1.
But that’s not all – there’s also packs of Maltesers truffles for just £3.49, as well as Funkin cocktails for £1 each.
If you’re a fizzy drink lover, you’ll be pleased to see eight cans of orange Fanta marked at just £1.99, as well as eight cans of strawberry and kiwi Fanta for only £1.49 and four cans of Diet Coke for as little as 89p.
And if that wasn’t enough, you can also nab Pot Noodles for as little as 49p each.
The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @newfoodspotteruk, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly amassed 30,300 views in just five days.
Social media users were impressed at the cheap buys in Heron Foods and many took to the comments to express this.
One person said: “Wish we had one.”
Another added: “I need the Mars [bars].”
However, a third commented: “Ours doesn’t have any of those in.”
