NBA icon Shaquille O’Neal has been quietly building a real estate empire despite his recent interview in which he opened up about losing everything that matters along the way, The Post has learned.

Known for his towering presence both on and off the court, O’Neal talked about his solitary life in a sprawling 100,000-square-foot mansion.

The revelation came with a heartfelt warning to Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce, urging him not to follow in his footsteps.

“I made a lot of dumbass mistakes to where I lost my family, and I didn’t have anybody. That’s not the case for you. So, enjoy your beautiful wife, enjoy your beautiful kids and never dwell on what we had,” O’Neal told Kelce on “The Big Podcast with Shaq.”

“What we had is what we got — you got the (Super Bowl) ring, people know who you are, enjoy. Because, again, I was an idiot, and I’ve talked about it a long time. I love my whole family. I’m in a 100,000-square-foot house by myself.”

While The Post has been unable to confirm the specifics of O’Neal’s colossal solo estate, public records indicate his ownership of nine lavish properties scattered across Nevada, Texas, Georgia and Florida.

In that last few years alone, he purchased four different homes in McDonough, Georgia, with a combined 30 acres of land, which could indicate an intention to build a bigger estate.

He also owns a 4,600-square-foot home in Hampton, Georgia.

Most recently, months after selling his mega-mansion in Orlando, Florida, the NBA legend purchased a five-bedroom, six-bathroom estate in the Dallas suburbs that occupies more than 5,200 square feet.

He also has a 6,400-square-foot home in Sugar Land, Texas, records obtained by The Post show.

In Las Vegas, Nevada, O’Neal, owns a modern, sleek estate spanning 4,800 square feet that he purchased in 2021.

While the retired basketball star and sports analyst continues to build on his real estate empire, O’Neal, 51, dropped some wisdom bombs on Kelce, 36, who’s contemplating retirement from the NFL after a tough loss in January’s wild-card round.

“My advice to you is if you are going to retire, accept it, enjoy your family, brother,” urged O’Neal, reflecting on his own missteps that led to loneliness.

Meanwhile, following speculation about Kelce’s retirement plans post-Eagles’ playoff exit, the star clarified that he’s yet to make a final decision.

During his candid chat on O’Neal’s podcast, Kelce discussed the deliberations over his future in football.

“Still figuring it out,” admitted Kelce, highlighting the emotional toll and uncertainty surrounding the end of the NFL season.
