Emmerdale star Dean Andrews says he’s ‘happy I woke up’ as he’s rushed to hospital for surgery

EMMERDALE star Dean Andrews has revealed he was rushed to hospital and shared a snap from hospital bed.

The 60-year-old actor took to Instagram to post a photo of him post surgery and told fans he’s “happy to have woken up”.

Dean, who plays Will Taylor in Emmerdale, wrote alongside his upload: “Surgery went well. Very happy to have woken up. Many thanks to my surgeon Chris and all the staff.”

He didn’t give any details as to why he was in hospital, but fans rushed to send messages.

One wrote: “Best wishes for a speedy recovery.”

Another said: “Get well soon. Take it easy.” And a third added: “Hope you are ok. Sending loads of love to you.”

Dean’s Emmerdale character Will is married to Kim Tate, played by Claire King, but last year he married his long-term partner Helen Bowen-Green.

His TV wife Claire was in attendance, and he shared a cheeky photo of his “two wives”.

Alongside the snap of him with new wife Helen and his soap wife Claire, he wrote: “I was hoping my two wives would be a little more upset when they found out about each other but it looks like they don’t give two hoots.”

Over the years, Dean has become a TV favourite amongst fans.

Before joining Emmerdale, he starred in Silent Witness, Agatha and the Truth of Murder, and Midsomer Murders.

Now fans recognise Dean as Will Taylor, Dawn Taylor’s dad and Kim Tate’s latest husband.
