The contestants were all hoping to bag the cash prize.

But when it was time for 39-year-old Beckie to come head-to-head with the chaser, things got messy.

In the cash builder round she was asked slightly difficult questions.

But despite this, Beckie managed to answer most of the questions right, bagging an impressive £5,000 as she was against Paul ‘The Sinnerman’ Sinha.

A fifth added: “What stupid questions!”

Even host, Bradley was confused by how hard the questions were.

“I’m telling you now, these have been tricky head-to-heads haven’t they? Haven’t they been hard questions?,” he said.

Bradley continued: “I tell you what, you’ve done well getting here. I’d have been out way up there.”

Despite Beckie’s tenacity she ran out of time and failed to answer the last question correctly.

At the end other contestants, David and Josephine managed to make it to the final chase.

But they also get caught by Paul in the end with just 39 seconds left on the timer.

The Chase continues weekdays on ITV from 5pm
