FOLLOWING the harsh weather conditions we’ve had this winter, chances are you may be experiencing issues with mould.

But if you’re looking for a cheap and cheerful way to get rid of the pesky toxic fuzz inside your home, then you’re in luck.

That’s because a savvy homeowner has told how she was “amazed” after using the ‘Kilrock mould remover spray,’ which claims to ‘eliminate mould and mildew’ and costs just £2.50.

In the clip posted to TikTok (@whatsfordinnerha), she shows off her grim walls that are riddled with mould that’s so bad, one social media users even thought the white walls were covered in “blue wallpaper at first.”

She begins: “Come with me to tackle this mould.

“Now, you’re probably thinking – how the heck did that happen?

“We had a leak in our water storage cupboard and the mould just want crazy.

“So I got this spray from Home Bargain after my dad’s recommendation.”

The online product description for the spray, which can be bought from the likes of Home Bargains, Ocado, B&Q or Amazon, reads: “This professional formula has a bleaching action.

“Ideal for all interior surfaces in bathrooms, kitchens, basements and more.”

What’s more is it’s all effective outside the home on balconies, saunas sheds, plant boxes and even garden ornaments.

All you need to do is open the trigger spray nozzle, spray the affected area from around 10cm, leave it to work for 20-30 mins.

Then, clean the treated area with a wet sponge and repeat for stubborn stains.

The homeowner explains how she did a patch test after five minutes and no wiping.

“Now I was pretty amazed so I thought, let’s do the whole wall,” she says.

“I could not believe my eyes when I saw the results.

“Let’s not forget where we started – this was the wall before…amazing!”

The post has since gone viral, racking up thousands of views and several comments from very intrigued social media users, with many offering their own top tips and suggestions.

“I thought it was a blue wallpaper at first,” wrote one.

A second penned: “White vinegar will kill it completely.”

According to the NHS, mould can be quite toxic to your health and can affect your health in several ways:

Nasal congestions
Sneezing
Coughing
Wheezing
Red eyes
Skin rashes
Respiratory infections

A third asked: “Does it smell very bad? I got a Dettol mould spray and it smells horrible.”

The homeowner replied: “Not really, it does smell very strong but only of bleach.”

Another advised: “Try the HG mould spray it’s amazing of that didn’t work I had mould in my bathroom and it’s cleared up loads.”
