A CUSTOMER was confused after she received a curious substitution for one of her grocery items.
She was left wondering if she was the crazy one after not receiving her lemons.
TikToker Charlotte Rose (@charlotterose251) said the incident was a “huge loss.”
“I ordered Instacart to get some groceries and I ordered some lemons. Right?” she said. “Pretty easy.”
“Nothing complicated about picking up some lemons,” she continued.
But there was an issue because the store was out of lemons.
Her Instacart shopper attempted to solve the problem.
She said the person didn’t mark the lemons as out of stock on the app.
So she wasn’t asked if she wanted a refund, or if she wanted a substitution.
Then she held up a box of fake lemons.

“My Instacart shopper thought that these fake plastic lemons would be a suitable replacement or a pound of real lemons,” Charlotte said.
“Am I crazy or does this not make any sense?” she asked. “Like, what am I supposed to do with these?”
