Ross Mendham then smashed the supercar into four bike racks, bending them out of shape.

Footage then shows him coming to a screeching halt with his Ferrari billowing smoke.

Ross, 40, managed escaped unharmed from his high-power motor just before 5pm on March 17.

But the son of former Norwich City star Peter Mendham was arrested afterwards for alleged breach of his bail conditions and appeared in court yesterday.

The bail relates to an upcoming trial.

Appearing at Norwich Magistrates’ Court in custody on Monday, Mendham pleaded guilty to breach of bail by not keeping a GPS tag charged.

Josephine Jones, prosecuting, said a night-time 7pm-7am curfew at his home at Sorrel Grove in Cringleford, was supposed to be electronically monitored.

Defence solicitor Gina Mattioli said it was a technical breach due to short battery life possibly caused by faulty equipment.

Magistrates re-imposed the same bail conditions including a ban on leaving Norfolk.

He is due to stand trial at Norwich Crown Court on June 5 for the alleged assault.

When Mendham appeared on Dragons’ Den in 2013, entrepreneur Peter Jones invested £60,000 in his low calorie venture, which is now called Barenaked Foods.

Last year he also launched a fashion brand called God of Design (GOD) that upcycled vintage and designer clothing.

A Norfolk Police spokesperson said: “Police were called to Rose Lane, Norwich at 4.58pm on Sunday, March 17 following reports of a single vehicle collision.

“The road was closed whilst emergency services, including fire, attended the scene.

“No one was injured and the road reopened at 6.25pm.”

A crowd of shocked onlookers gathered at the scene, with one eyewitness telling the Eastern Daily Press: “If it’s not a write off I’d be really surprised.”
