Inside insanely expensive celeb holidays… from £1.6m-a-WEEK yacht to couple who rented out ‘megavilla’ with 23 bathrooms

THE glamorous life of a celeb can often look like one long holiday… and sometimes it really is.

While most of us might have to scrimp and save to afford that once-in-a-lifetime trip, these stars think nothing of a casual jaunt over to the Maldives or the Caribbean – often in a private jet, of course.

Last week, reality star Gemma Collins confessed she once spent £100,000 on a one-week holiday.

The former Towie favourite, 43, blew the cash on a trip to the Greek island of Mykonos, telling The Sunday Times: “When I go on holiday it’s not just a five or ten-grand holiday.

“It ends up costing a fortune.

Mykonos is pure magic but you need big pockets to go there.

“£100,000 should cover all your meals, activities and accommodation for a week.”

Gemma’s hotel room on the island cost £3,000-a-night — a total of £21,000 for the week.

The rest was needed for meals, drinks, clubbing and activities.

From multi-million pound super yachts to private, secluded island retreats, here we take a closer look at some of the priciest celebrity holidays.

Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury, both 24, welcomed their baby daughter Bambi in January last year – and already the tiny tot has had more luxury holidays in her first year than most people in their life-time.

The family enjoyed a total of ten trips last year alone, including four luxury stays in four months.

He’s worth a whopping £500million and is on £3.4million a week at Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr, so of course Cristiano Ronaldo, 39, his wife Georgina, 30, and his five children are accustomed to the high life.

And the footballing ace loves holidays so much, he’s turned it into a business, adding a string of hotels and retreats to his property portfolio.

Georgina regularly posts glam snaps on Instagram showing her and her family travelling by private jet, and they recently enjoyed a holiday on a luxury beach near their latest venture, a holiday resort on Ummahat Island in the Red Sea.

They took their family to the nearby St Regis Red Sea Resort, which is located on a secluded island off the coast of Saudi Arabia and is only accessible by a private chartered boat or seaplane.

That sort of idyllic privacy for the young family doesn’t come cheap, with a four-bed villa typically setting you back around £14,000 a night.

While there, Georgina also proudly shared photos of their upcoming venture, referring to the modern resort as “the new paradise”.

Towie rich list

Gemma Collins may have splashed out £100,000 on a holiday, but can she outspend her Towie co-stars? Here’s who works out the richest.

Mark Wright (£15M) – It’s estimated Mark’s riches stand at £15million – perhaps no surprise since he’s had multiple jobs since Towie from a presenter, football star to property developer.

Samantha Faiers (£9M) – The success of Sam’s show The Mummy Diaries has kept the money rolling in for the likeable star – and her older sister Billie.

Joey Essex (£8M) – Joey has appeared on every reality show going from his own hit Educating Joey Essex to I’m A Celeb, Celebs Go Dating, Celebrity SAS and pretty much any show that ever had ‘Celebrity’ in the title.

Gemma Collins (£7M) – The reality rich list puts Gemma Collins on an estimated £7.3million thanks to TV, endorsements and her own clothing line.

Amy Childs (£5M) – A founding Towie member, the 33-year-old star made a fortune from beauty and fashion ranges then ploughed the profits into property.

Lucy Mecklenburgh (£3M) – Building an empire of homes, the mother-of-two also celebrated a £1m turnover with her lifestyle brand.

Lauren Goodger (£2M) – Her relationship with Mark Wright, which played out on the show, was a magnet for magazine deals and her fame saw her land early gigs on Celebrity Big Brother and Dancing On Ice.

James ‘Arg’ Argent (£1M) – James is thought to have made £1million thanks to Instagram brand deals as well as stints on everything from Sugar Free Farm to The Jump and Celebrity Coach Trip.

Ferne McCann, 33, may be a new mum for the second time after welcoming baby daughter Finty last July, but it certainly hasn’t slowed down her love of travelling.

In fact, the star and her family enjoyed a staggering 11 trips last year.

Back in October, Ferne wowed fans with photos from her trip to The Maldives, as she jetted off for a luxury half-term getaway with her fiancé Lorri Haines, Finty and Ferne’s daughter Sunday.

The family stayed at five-star The Standard hotel, where rooms can set guests back £1,300 per night.

Prior to giving birth to Finty, Ferne took her daughter Sunday on a number of trips, including a once-in-a-lifetime visit to Morocco

During their £7,000 a night, seven-night ‘babymoon’ trip to Marrakesh – which reportedly set them back £49,000 in accommodation alone – the family enjoyed pool days and lapping up the culture.

Victoria Beckham, 49, and David, 48, know how to holiday, and they also love to make it a family affair where they can.

Most recently they celebrated the Christmas holidays with a trip to the Bahamas (as you do) along with kids Brooklyn, 25, Cruz, 19, Harper, 12, and Brooklyn’s wife Nicola Peltz, 28.

In 2020, the couple famously ventured to the south of France and the Italian coast on a very impressive 311ft super yacht called The Madsummer – which costs a staggering £1.6million a week to charter.

The ship came with a crew of 28 staff to cater to their every need, boasting indoor and outdoor dining areas, a spa, a children’s playroom – and a nightclub where the former Spice Girl in particular enjoyed a spot of karaoke.

The couple also own their own 93.5ft yacht, called Seven, thought to be worth in the region of around £5million.

She was named the youngest self-made billionaire by Forbes in 2019, so Kylie Jenner, 26, can certainly afford to spend a bob or two on a nice break away from her thriving beauty business.

Travelling around the world will be no problem for the 26-year-old, who boasts her own $72.8million pink private Global Express jet, which is eight feet wide and nearly 60ft feet long.

Two years ago, Kylie and then-boyfriend Travis Scott headed off to the Turks and Caicos Islands – said to be the Caribbean’s best-kept secret.

They reportedly stayed in a ‘mega-villa costing £43,000-per-night, boasting 11 bedrooms and 23 bathrooms, which feels a bit excessive for two people.

Fans seemed to agree, with one commenting: “It’s stunning but I am genuinely just wondering why THIS big of a space is necessary?”

In August 2019 Kylie rented out 300ft vessel Tranquility to celebrate her 22nd birthday.

The boat accommodated up to 22 guests in 10 cabins, and manned by a 31-person strong crew… if you can afford the $1.23 million a week bill to charter it.

She rose to fame in the Love Island villa, and Kady McDermott, 28, can afford to stay in even more luxurious pads now – enjoying both Mauritius AND the Maldives last year, in the space of a month.

In February the star stayed at The Oberoi Beach Resort in a £1,600-a-night private villa that comes complete with a private courtyard garden, a heated swimming pool and sea views.

Just a month later she jetted to the Maldives, enjoying a lavish £518-per-night getaway at the Velassaru Maldives.

The dream location has a variety of fabulous facilities on offer, including a fitness centre, tennis court and an infinity pool.

Guests can also enjoy water and adventure sports, as well as sunset cruises, yoga classes, private dining and spa treatments in over-water pavilions.

When Kim Kardashian turned 40 she did what anyone would do to celebrate such a milestone – renting out an entire private island, of course.

The star flew 30 guests out to Marlon Brando’s $20,000-a-night island – a trip rumoured to cost in the region of $1million.

The extravagant vacation proved quite controversial, as the world was still in the midst of the pandemic at the time.

It’s obviously not the first insanely luxurious trip the Kardashians have enjoyed.

They rented out a $23,000-a-night villa in Costa Rica in 2017, which came with private chefs, and in 2011 Kim famously lost her $75,000 earring during a trip to Bora Bora.

The family have also stayed at The Palm hotel in Dubai – in a suite that costs around $30,000 a night and comes with a bar of soap made with real gold.
