It is also the second time in a week that Man Utd have lost a lead in added time, which heartbroken fans said “sums up their season”.

The Blues led 2-0 in the first half before Man Utd came roaring back making it 3-2 before the last minutes of the match.

Disaster struck Erik ten Hag‘s side when Cole Palmer netted two goals in the 100th and 101st minute to make it 4-3.

Palmer equalised for Chelsea with a penalty before securing a hat-trick a minute later.

Palmer has now scored more penalties in a season than any other player under the aged on 21.

And the Chelsea ace is yet to miss one.
