He even revealed that Disney World had warned staff in training about people asking them to sign weird things.

“Disney tells you people will ask you to sign really weird things, including birth certificates” he explained, adding: “When they said this, I thought they were being ridiculous.”

As he got dressed in his Star-Lord costume, nothing could have prepared him for this toe curling awkward moment while working as the character.

While he was greeting guests, a strange woman walked up to him with her young family.

Unlike most Disney fans, who will ask him to sign a piece of paper, the woman tried to hand Andrew a birth certificate to autograph.

Of course, the LA actor refused and he still wonders what would have happened if he’d agreed.

He even wondered whether he would have legally been the little boy’s dad, if he had signed the official paperwork.

After the encounter, he told his 573,000 followers: “I’m sure she thought it was just a funny thing [and] maybe the father wasn’t in the picture, she could have a Disney character as the boy’s father but it completely threw me off guard.”

Unsurprisingly, the video went viral with over 85,000 people hearing about the actor’s awkward encounter.

In the comments, many were shocked with one fan writing: “Wow I thought maybe it was like a build a bear dressed as like a little Star Lord or something…that’s insane!”

Another shared that they’d had a similar experience whilst visiting the theme park, commenting: “Yeah I watched some teenaged girls try to get Mickey to sign the Declaration of Independence once.”
