THIS is the shocking moment “kids steal” a police patrol car as cops make an arrest.
Footage shows the BMW hurtle backwards along a pavement as a figure can be seen in the driver’s seat.
With its blue lights still flashing, bystanders burst into fits of laughter as carnage unfolds.
After ploughing several metres along the pavement, the car backs into a side street, bounces off a kerb and onto the road.
The video is captioned: “Local kids steal a police car”.
The clip of Sunday’s alleged carjacking has since gone viral on TikTok and been viewed over 2.5 million times.

Greater Manchester Police said it took place as an officer detained a 28-year-old man in a nearby shop following a pursuit in Kirkholt, Rochdale.
A police spokesperson said a suspect allegedly involved in the cop car incident may have been identified and the force are investigating
The car was recovered by cops close to the scene a short time later.
Greater Manchester Police are investigating Sunday’s incident.

They added: “We’re aware of a video being shared online of a police car being driven dangerously in Kirkholt over the weekend.
“This happened after an officer left the car to bravely detain a 28-year-old man in a nearby shop following a pursuit.
“Someone decided to get into the car and behave in this unacceptable manner and now believe we have identified them for further action.”
That suspect cops were arresting at the time of the alleged car theft was held for dangerous driving, failing to stop for police, driving without a licence and no insurance.
They were cuffed on suspicion of possessing a bladed article, assault of an emergency worker, criminal damage and breach of a court order.
