LIVERPOOL kept their faint title hopes alive despite a late scare against Tottenham.

The Reds absolutely romped into a four goal lead at Anfield to pile further misery on Ange Postecoglou’s men.

Mo Salah and Andy Robertson put them two up going into the break.

It got even better when Cody Gakpo headed home moments after the restart in front of the Kop.

Then Harvey Elliott added the fourth in stunning fashion with a left-foot rocket from distance.

But Spurs grabbed what looked to be just a consolation strike through sub Richarlison on 72 minutes.

And then the worries started to mount for the Reds when Son Heung-min struck again for the visitors five minutes later.

But the Reds managed to stop the Spurs comeback in its tracks, with Joe Gomez brilliantly denying Brennan Johnson, as they held on.
