I’m a pet sitter & would never own a ‘crazy’ dog breed with ‘high energy & no intelligence’ – another kind gets ‘crusty’

ONE pet sitter has shared her words of wisdom about which dog breeds are the most difficult.

If you prefer a calm canine companion, there is one problematic pooch in particular she would never own.

After meeting quite a few mutts from being a sitter, she explained which breed always gave her a rough time.

“Doodles – have met a few that are fine but the majority are just crazy, and that’s coming from someone who owns border collies,” said Redditor floofer-roofer.

“I can deal with high energy, but not neuroticism or high energy and no intelligence, it’s so difficult to manage and I don’t know how anyone finds joy in that,” she added.

Doodle dogs, which include Labradoodles and Goldendoodles, are mixed breeds.

According to PetMD, every doodle dog varies based on the dog breed that a Poodle is mixed with and the type of poodle – standard, miniature-sized, or toy-sized.

Their varying “genetic outcomes” can influence the dog’s behavior as well as appearance and any “hereditary health issues” from their parents.

And that wasn’t the only bad breed on her list.

If you don’t want a dog that is “bred to suffer,” stay away from Bulldogs, Frenchies, and Pugs.

“Struggling to walk is hard to watch,” she said.

Another poorly behaved breed she’s come across is the boxer.

She wasn’t sure if it was just the ones she’s dealt with, but she was determined to stay away.

If you want a dog that is going to obey commands, she also doesn’t recommend Huskies.

“I generally like them but I can’t deal with the singing of their people or the stubbornness,” she said.

Lapdog lovers should also beware of anything small and white.

“They stain their coats so easily and get crusty,” she said.

Signs your dog could turn dangerous

Expert advice from Dr. Sara Ochoa, who has been practicing veterinary medicine for over five years.

Ochoa told The U.S. Sun observing a dog’s behavior can provide clues that they might act out.

“A dog that looks tense all over with its fur sticking up or teeth showing is more likely to snap,” she said.

“Staring real hard without blinking could mean trouble too.

“Growling is also a warning the dog is getting mad.”

She said dogs may tuck their tail between their legs when they feel scared or threatened.

“Staying calm and keeping space may help things not to escalate if a dog seems on edge,” she said.

Ever wondered what’s in a name – or at least a doggy name?

Well, according to her, apparently a lot of horrifying habits.

She has learned to stay away from “anything named Louie.”

“I’ve been traumatized enough by Louie’s that it’s ruined it for me,” she said.

She also shared which dogs she is a fan of, including Goldens, thought she explained how their intelligence is “hit or miss.”

She is also a fan of Aussies, Chihuahua’s, Corgis, Newfoundlands, and her favorite of all – mutts.
