Mum-of-two Itzel, who has fibromyalgia, got four yeses from the judges after her amazing performance.

Now fans will have to wait and see what the future holds for her in the ITV competition.

In the summer of last year Itzel stripped down to a leopard print bikini to do a work out on the beach.

She filmed herself completing a number of exercises on the sand with resistance bands and weights.

Itzel said: “Trying to get back in shape 💪.

“So as some of you now I took some much needed time off and now I’m putting myself back together in many ways but specially physically.

“Last year was extremely demanding in my body and a long break was much needed and I’m grateful I did, finally now starting to feel much better, is has been 3 weeks since I started conditioning again and my body is really coming back to its strength.

“This year I want to focus even more on my fitness and also want to share more of my “normal” strength training (not aerial or circus, although Im actually getting ready for an amazing circus experience!).

“I’ve always been a fitness junky, it just feels good and also don’t feel very good when I don’t do it,

“So this is a must be part of my life to be happy and fulfilled, I just have 2 or maybe 3 years lifting weights and not very consistently but I really see the benefits of it now and I really enjoy it.

‘She doesn’t need the show’ rage BGT fans as they discover professional background of act

“That’s new I though it was boring before but the more I do it, the more I like it.”

Before showing off her skills, Itzel opened about why she wanted to take part in Britain’s Got Talent.

Itzel said: “I’m at the very end of my career. I’ve done this acrobatics for 30 years. I have fibromyalgia, I literally will be in pain.

“I kind of want to give my body peace, it’s been through a lot.

“Coming here will allow me to say good bye to stages in beautiful way and show the world what I can do, and what I’ve been working on all these years.”

Fibromyalgia is a long-term condition causing chronic pain throughout the body and will cause increased sensitivity to pain, fatigue, and muscle stiffness.

What is fibromyalgia?

The disease affects about 4million Americans aged 18 and older and is more common in women than it is in men, and according to U.S. government statistics, about 90 percent of cases are found in women.

Some symptoms of the disease can include difficulty sleeping, as well as memory loss, concentration problems, headaches, and irritable bowel syndrome.

The symptoms are typically more advanced in women than they are in men, with more experiencing a more intense level of pain because the estrogen in women decreases their pain tolerance, according to Healthline.

The condition can be triggered by physical trauma, surgery, infection, or significant psychological stress, and although it is not a progressive disease – meaning it won’t get worse over time – the symptoms will affect the individual permanently.

Some BGT viewers are up in arms after discovering that Itzel has a professional background.

After extensive research they revealed the star has more than 100,000 Instagram followers and has performed in the iconic Cirque Du Soleil troupe.

The Mexican born circus artist, choreographer and aerial hoop coach previously spoke of her starring role in the huge production after an audition in Mexico City in 2010.

In a chat with website she talked of her big break and said: “After that I was asked to perform in a special event for 45 Degrees, which is Cirque du Soleil’s special events company, which was a dream come true.

“I remember thinking ‘I did it! My dream is done! If I don’t go further than this I’m super grateful.’

“I hoped to get into a show, but I did it! I was there.

“Then the year after that I got asked to perform in ‘Quidam’ which was the show that inspired me to become a circus artist.

“It was a lot. It was very, very exciting.”

The stage experience of the star prompted anger from some quarters with one raging: “Yet another scouted act! How on earth is this fair???”

A second put: “Really? That many followers she needs #bgt #britainsgottalent to help her career?”

One then followed with: ““She’s amazing! You can see why she’s toured all over the world! Extremely talented.”

Britain’s Got Talent’s biggest ‘fix’ rows

Britain’s Got Talent has been plagued with ‘fix’ rows over the years. How many of these do you remember?

Jasmine Elcock – 2016: Teenage singer Jasmine Elcock stunned the nation with her version of Cher’s Believe. But it then transpired she had already performed professionally in London’s West End. Jasmine, 14, admitted: “I’ve performed in Annie in the West End at about the age of nine or 10, but I really get nervous.”

IrShad Shaikh – 2017: BGT fans were left questioning the rule book when IrShad Shaikh auditioned. He got four red buzzers from the judges, which would usually mean an instant dismissal. Yet in a strange turn of events, they let him continue with his act…and put him through to the next round.

Colin Thackery – 2019: Elderly war veteran Colin won BGT in 2019, but there was an outcry over the final. He warbled his place to win with a version of We’ll Meet Again but fans were furious that escapologist Jonathan Goodwin didn’t even rank in the top three. Viewers felt Jonathan – who almost suffocated while being buried alive in a gravel pit – should have won.

Axel Blake – 2022: Comedian Axel Blake was given a Golden Buzzer in 2022 after making the judges laugh. But fans were fuming when they discovered Axel already had a show on worldwide streaming platform Amazon Prime. Despite this, Axel still went on to win the series.

Loren Allred – 2022: The 2022 series of BGT was hit with another controversy when singer Loren Allred also received a Golden Buzzer. She performed Never Enough from the smash hit musical movie The Greatest Showman and got a standing ovation. It later transpired Loren was actually the original voice behind the track.

Taryn Charles – 2024: Singer Taryn Charles is one of this year’s hopefuls lucky enough to receive the Golden Buzzer. Bruno Tonilio put her straight through to the semi-finals following her performance of (You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman by Aretha Franklin, but it has now come to light that she is no stranger to TV. Viewers recognised Taryn from an episode of ITV1’s Starstruck, where she impersonated Whitney Houston for judges Olly Murs, Sheridan SmithAdam Lambert and Beverley Knight.
