BRITAIN’S Got Talent fans have branded the Robo Dog act “stupid” while pointing out a major flaw with its audition.
The robotic grey dog was seen attempting an agility-style routine for judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and Bruno Tonioli in the latest episode of BGT.
But despite initially impressing with its routine to a Bee Gees and Pitball medley, Robo Dog tried – and failed – to jump over a bar.
It then crashed into another obstacle before falling over on its back.
An unimpressed Alesha remarked: “Honestly, I just don’t know what to say anymore on this show. What a load of rubbish.”
BGT fans were also left without a good word to say about the act – with many highlighting a huge problem.

Some technical whizzes were quick to point about that similar robotic dogs are widely available to buy online.
eBay currently has several Bionic Quadruped Robot Dogs, which are operated via a remote control, listed for £2,000 plus.
Fuming on X, formerly known as Twitter, one viewer wrote: “This is so stupid. You can buy this toy for £2000. And do the exact same thing.”
Another asked: “What was the point of even giving this any airtime?”

And a third wrote: “Disappointing act. I was rooting for it to do well as it’s different and looked interesting but it only knocked over the obstacles.”
Others were quick to compare it to Spot, a robotic dog made by technics company Boston Dynamics.
Spot is described as an “agile mobile robot” that can be used for sensing and industrial inspections on construction sites.
“A Boston Dynamics reject!” someone wrote.
Another viewer chimed in: “They’ve apparently never heard of Boston Dynamics.”
This isn’t the only act from the latest episode of Britain’s Got Talent to face criticism.

Colin Thackery – 2019: Elderly war veteran Colin won BGT in 2019, but there was an outcry over the final. He warbled his place to win with a version of We’ll Meet Again but fans were furious that escapologist Jonathan Goodwin didn’t even rank in the top three. Viewers felt Jonathan – who almost suffocated while being buried alive in a gravel pit – should have won.
Axel Blake – 2022: Comedian Axel Blake was given a Golden Buzzer in 2022 after making the judges laugh. But fans were fuming when they discovered Axel already had a show on worldwide streaming platform Amazon Prime. Despite this, Axel still went on to win the series.
Loren Allred – 2022: The 2022 series of BGT was hit with another controversy when singer Loren Allred also received a Golden Buzzer. She performed Never Enough from the smash hit musical movie The Greatest Showman and got a standing ovation. It later transpired Loren was actually the original voice behind the track.
Taryn Charles – 2024: Singer Taryn Charles is one of this year’s hopefuls lucky enough to receive the Golden Buzzer. Bruno Tonilio put her straight through to the semi-finals following her performance of (You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman by Aretha Franklin, but it has now come to light that she is no stranger to TV. Viewers recognised Taryn from an episode of ITV1’s Starstruck, where she impersonated Whitney Houston for judges Olly Murs, Sheridan Smith, Adam Lambert and Beverley Knight.
Angry viewers slammed Amanda’s decision to give her Golden Buzzer to a Japanese man called Nabe, who used the remaining hair on his balding head to do ‘impressions’.
Their blood boiled even further when they failed to award a blind couple with the same recognition.
Denise Leigh and Stefan Andrusyschyn were praised for their “faultless” performance but were just put through to the next round.

The Golden Buzzer would have bypassed this for them and sent them straight to the semi finals.
