THIS is the moment a learner driver failed her test for moving out of the way of a police car.
The young motorist thought she was doing her civic duty but was actually committing a serious fault.
Aman Sanghera, an instructor at Clearview Driving, explained the law around police vehicles and how to give way safely.
In a clip posted to her YouTube channel, Aman shows one of her students taking a mock test in South London.
The video shows the teen coming up to large junction on a main road controlled by traffic lights.
As she reaches the junction and the lights change to red, a police siren can be heard in the background as an unmarked BMW with blue lights approaches from behind.

The student goes to move forward to pull over, but Aman tells her to stop and hits the brakes on her dual controls.
The driver ended up failing the mock test as a result of a serious fault.
Aman explained: “Just wait as you are.
“There’s nothing we can do right now.

“You are not allowed to pass the red light to make space.”
While the law does require you to move out of the way of any emergency vehicle with sirens or blue lights active, this does not supersede the basic rules of the road.
Regardless of whether there is a police car or even an ambulance behind you, you still have to obey the red light.
If you find yourself in this situation, try and move over as much as you can without passing the stop line at the lights.
And if you’re unable to give a suitable gap, you simply have to wait for the lights to change and pull over as soon as it is safe to do so.
Confusingly, though it comes after Aman shared another driving test failure where the student was marked down for actually stopping at a red light.
And conversely, another driving instructor revealed how you can also fail for not stopping at a green light.
