THIS is the shocking moment a crazed knifeman was confronted by vigilantes – before being beaten down by cops.
The chaotic scene was captured outside the Britannia Sachas Hotel Manchester on Tib Street in Manchester.
Horror footage shows the man brandishing a six-inch blade at the front entrance of the three-star hotel.
It was shared on social media by @madd_manneh with the caption ‘Waving his blade about. MADD’.
In the video several pedestrians watch on as a male witness repeatedly shouts “why have you got a knife?”.
The knife-wielding man then puts down his bag before another male squares up to him and headbutts his chest.

Moments later a third man launches a high-visibility traffic cone which just misses the knifeman’s head.
The altercation comes to an abrupt end when two police officers arrive and tackle the man to the ground.
It is unclear when the incident took place or the circumstances surrounding the video.
The Sun has approached Greater Manchester Police for comment.

It comes after Greater Manchester Police enlisted amateur metal detectorists to go sweeping woods and fields for deadly blades – as part of their “crackdown on knife crime”.
The two hobbyists helped Greater Manchester Police scour areas of Wigan during a week-long knife crackdown campaign called operation Sceptre in November.
Led by PCSO and fellow metal detectorist Alan Mitchell, they found knives, a hammer, a sharpened piece of metal, a BB gun and drug paraphernalia – praising the detectorists as “very valuable to the force”.
A force representative said the “volunteer metal detectorists” helped GMP teams “scan areas for hidden or discarded objects of interest, such as weapons, but also jewellery or burner phones”.
