Asylum lunatics

ABDUL Ezedi was a failed asylum seeker, a liar, a sex attacker and a danger to innocent people, as he went on to prove.

Yet, despite Home Office objections, a judge let him stay rather than risk supposed persecution in Afghanistan over the Christianity he pretended to adopt.

That obviously fake conversion was deemed genuine by a gullible retired Baptist minister and, incredibly, by the judge who already knew Ezedi was dishonest.

And despite the church imposing curbs on the convicted pervert to protect its congregation.

Ezedi later maimed a woman and her young daughters with corrosive chemicals, drowned and received a Muslim burial in accordance with his true faith.

What a predictable yet appalling failure this all was by the virtue-signalling Left.

When Judge William O’Hanlon ruled the alleged risk to Ezedi trumped the harm he might inflict, he gambled with the lives of others and lost. At least THEY lost, when Ezedi disfigured them.

How many more such men are out there, let loose by hand-wringing, reckless incompetents?

When Government minister Andrew Griffith says an asylum system “based on credulous clerics and leftie lawyers” is broken, he’s dead right.

Rising tide

THERE is no sugar-coating the latest small boat figures for Rishi Sunak.

Illegal arrivals so far this year are at record highs — 23 per cent up on 2023.

All those Government claims that the plan was working, based on last year’s lower numbers, lie in ruins.

But it is unfair to lay all the blame at No10’s door. The central plank of Sunak’s “stop the boats” plan, the Rwanda deterrent, has not been implemented due partly to Labour sabotage.

So to hear the opposition crowing over the PM’s failure is stomach-churning.

When shadow immigration minister Stephen Kinnock tells him to “get a grip” he is blatantly misleading voters.

And his claims that HE would strengthen our borders, crush the smuggling gaengs and make deals to deport anyone we don’t want are laughable.

Labour would do none of it. Most of its MPs still believe small boats carry “refugees” and borders are racist.

Ignore their spin. They mainly object to Rwanda because they fear it would work.

Lethal panic

POOR Finley Boden was just one of a heartbreaking list of kids killed by wicked parents under the cover of lockdowns.

Yet again social workers who should have watched over him failed, partly deterred by Covid restrictions.

All those who shrieked for earlier, harder, longer lockdowns never once seemed to consider the myriad dangers.

Do they feel an ounce of shame?
