Kelly Ripa Jokingly Tells A ‘Live’ Studio Audience Member To “Get Out” After They Reveal Their Crazy Pasta Condiment

Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos talked proper pasta protocol on Live with Kelly and Mark this morning, and one audience member was busted for their questionable taste.

It all started when Consuelos asked,”What happens if you don’t say stop to the Olive Garden server grating the cheese?”

Ripa smugly replied, “I don’t know. I’ll let you know after this afternoon when I head to Olive Garden.”

Consuelos said that “they keep going,” but noted that “there’s a sign” you should use to signal that you’re satisfied.

“I like to do this,” he shared, as he proceeded to do a slight hand gesture and quietly utter, “Thank you.”

However, as this episode was previously recorded, Consuelos was sporting a finger cast from an old injury on his right ring finger, prompting him to “switch” hands when he employs his sign.

“But very nice,” he clarified. “Not like, ‘Cease the grated cheese.’ I just kind of say, ‘Thank you.’ That’s it.”

Ripa chimed in, “But if you say, ‘Thank you’ at Olive Garden…,” to which Consuelos explained, “They stop. You gotta give them a signal.”

After Ripa said she “thought you had to say ‘stop’” in order to pause the cheese, her jaw dropped in excitement upon the realization.

Consuelos continued, “Sometimes people bring two blocks of cheese because people don’t say ‘stop.’ They just want more cheese.”

Still stunned, Ripa asked, “So they just keep cheesing you —” as Consuelos interjected, “They cheese you. That’s what they’re supposed to [do].”

Ripa claimed she would be “going there this afternoon” in order to “put that to the test,” noting that when she does opt for pasta — which she said she doesn’t “do very often” — she “want[s] all the fixins.”

“I want the extra cheese. Yes, I want the extra sauce,” she continued. “I want them to keep going. The never-ending bread basket.”

Consuelos tested Ripa’s pasta etiquette by asking if she would do the same with a “seafood pasta,” to which she replied, “No.”

“No cheese on a seafood pasta,” she said. “That’s like the separation of church and state.”

Consuelos deemed that to be the right answer, claiming, “that’s offensive.”

Ripa added, “Would you put grated cheese on your fish?”

Meanwhile, Consuelos went so far as to claim that “it’s like putting ketchup on pasta,” which gave Ripa a shiver. “Does anybody do that?”

They eventually pin-pointed a brave soul in the audience who revealed that they indeed put ketchup on their pasta. Ripa teased, “You do not,” while Consuelos said, “Come on! Really?

Then, Ripa joked,”Get out!” as they panned to the ketchup lover in the audience. You know what they say: some things are best kept to yourself, unless you want to be publicly shamed on Live.
