When it comes to the best wireless earbuds, Apple’s lineup is tough to beat — even though their price tag often keeps them in the “premium purchase” category. But if you’re ready to level up your earbud game, the newest Apple model is a great option, especially at its lowest price ever.
The second generation AirPods Pro debuted in September, so we’re fortunate to see any sales at all. These particular buds were on sale for $15 off earlier this month, and now we’re seeing another price drop on Amazon, which is less than the price you’ll find at retailers like Walmart or Best Buy.
These buds aren’t an overhaul of the previous model; in fact, according to Mashable senior editor Stan Schroeder’s review of the new AirPods Pro, they really aren’t all that much different. They do offer improved spatial audio as well as better battery life, so you can listen longer without interruption, but there’s not much to spotlight otherwise.
Apple claims that the new AirPods Pro block twice as much noise as their predecessor with a new “adaptive transparency” feature. It’s meant to keep out unwanted noise while ensuring you can hear the real world, but our reviewer found this option lacking. They’re still a solid pair of wireless earbuds, despite some fiddly touch commands.
If you’re looking for an affordable pair of earbuds or just want a step up from your go-to AirPods, you might be better served with a different earbuds deal. But this is a great option for anyone curious about how the new AirPods Pro stack up — and we’ll be watching to see if the price drops even further.
